Personality and wealth

To what extent do personality traits predict wealth in adulthood over and above standard demographic factors? In all 3240 adults the UK completed a Big Five test reported on their property wealth, savings investments, physical valuable items. We also had data age, education, household income gender. Correlations regressions showed that demographics, particularly age were, as expected clearest correlates of wealth. Conscientious was positively agreeableness, neuroticism extraversion were negatively associated with investments. The pointed clearly to conscientiousness most important trait accumulation. Implications these results well limitations study are discussed.
